Absolutely not too old, he is just a salesperson getting in his own way. If it’s the M340 you want, it’s the M340 you get.

I sell BMW’s and you might be surprised just how narrow some of these margins are right now, it’s definitely not the same as it was a year ago.
In my experience, the CPO warranty would usually cost a few thousand dollars and it only added 12 months warranty that is NOT the same coverage as factory. You could see if they would sell it without the CPO if they reduced the cost $1500.
If you care more about a price reduction see if they have loaner X5’s they can sell.
The same reason man powered bicycles have 15, 20, 30 gears. How do such dumb people exist
I mostly use it when I’m cresting large hills on my way to and from work, let it coast down as quickly as it wants. I did a drive in a 2021 BMW 330xi and got 46.9 MPG from Chicago to Des Moines.
My client turned in his lease, charged it at home and at work. He loved it to bits and averages like 70mpg. He did however have the comfort of warranty as well
Surprised theres that much of a market
Why do people do this? Besides being POS’s what is the goal here
I actually use the paddles like…constantly
M340 Wagon
Sport mode is required for the exhaust valve to open up so my car is in sport mode 99.9999% of the time with traction control off. These cars like a good beating
Meanwhile I see like 2-3 a Day
I have driven without them and driven with and in real world I notice the difference. Cosmetically, I’d still always get them for the look
Just my 2 cents, if you aren’t doing laserlights they are worth every penny
You’ve nailed parking, now drop the turn signals and subtract 12 feet from your usual following distance.
Any and all lane hoggers shall be met with hand gestures and flashing of the brights

Its a relatively cheap insurance if you plan to keep the car for 12 months, just keep in mind CPO is NOT the same as factory warranty, it will only cover major components
The majority of “performance BMW” owners I meet drive like wusses with the occassional red light race and maybe they go 10 over on the interstate. They will never touch half that cars potential but they needed a badge to feel better.
The BMW 4 Cylinder is plenty of power and fun for 99.99% of the population. If you can’t have fun in a lower HP car you just can’t drive
Glad to see BMW in the Top 10. They’re not cheap, but I’m on my 2nd tuned M340 and 7th year of ownership and other than having a speaker replaced I have never had a single issue.
