Canada has a 15 year import rule, instead of the USs 25, and I’m thinking of importing my next car. I like weird stuff that you don’t see all the time, and jdm cars are decently popular around here. What is something that is cheap in its home market, but super rare in North America?
Right now, I’m thinking about a Mahindra Thar, but I could also be really happy with an Opel Tigra

I feel like the Mahindra Thar is a super weird choice as a car to import since it’s basically the exact same car looks and use wise as a jeep wrangler except cheaper and not as nice. Other than it being cheaper I just don’t see why you’d want to go through the hassle of importing one vs some actually weird car you never see over here.
