All of the trucks at my work have LEDs in them. I tell them all the time that they suck ass and to put halogens back in my truck because not only does it blind oncoming traffic, they are dim and make it hard to see at night - especially in bad weather. The housings were not made to reflect LEDs.

But of course they won’t because LEDs off amazon cost less than a half decent, name brand halogen bulb.

The performance and power specs were from a previous era of super cars. When they released the car in 2012 it was past its prime, it was originally intended to be released earlier(believe 2007) but they had to redo the chassis because it was too heavy. 553hp in 2012 didn’t look enticing for $375k when Lamborghinis and Ferraris were putting out 700hp for the same money, and a GTR 1/3 of the price offered the same level of performance. You simply had to be a diehard Lexus fan to buy one.

Now that it’s old enough people are starting to see its collector value. That’s why prices are sky rocketing. On top of that the push for alternative fuels and smaller engines make people see the value in having a NA high revving V10.

The other issue is it’s basically a reskinned Jeep Renegade. And it’s much easier to find a Jeep dealer, buy Jeep parts, and get support compared to a Fiat. There isn’t really a point in buying a Fiat. What made them unique was the 500. Not a volume seller but that drew people to the brand. I would’ve brought one if they still made them. There’s so many better options in the CUV segment.

How did the Tacoma return if it’s always been the midsize king and never went away?

This is what the 3rd gen should’ve been. That shit was such a half step truck. You had the old chassis and body with a deep facelift, cheapened interior, and a powertrain that was arguably less stout then the previous 4.0 plus the 6 speed loved to stay in high gears.

I love the look of the Ioniq 6 but wanted a higher seat height. Was going to pull the trigger on a Ioniq 5 but ended up going Tesla Model Y due to its higher advertised range plus $4k off msrp at the time. Car came out about $6500 cheaper than the comparable, biggest battery pack AWD Ioniq 5.

If I did it over again I would definitely go with an Ioniq 5. Not that the Tesla is bad or anything, just think Teslas lack that attention to detail you get in a car built by a brand that’s been in business for decades.

Any car can be stolen if the thief wants it bad enough. A lot of BMWs had the key signal cloned from inside the house and used to start the car. Just keep your key far away from where you park or inside one of those signal blockers. The systems are much more complex than what Dodge was using.

It’s not acceptable but it also ain’t a Lexus. Cheap car means cheap build. That’s why the price is low.

People always talked highly of Hondas because the NA 4 cylinders/manual combos were bulletproof. Honda V6 and automatic transmissions have always had some sort of issue.

And let’s not get started on the faulty design wiring connectors that plagued the newer Pilot/Odysseys.

They have their faults but still decent cars. Toyota still makes a more trouble free car overall.

Doesn’t Honda’s maintenance minder system account for these short trips and drop your OCI down?

When I used to do hour long commutes my oil change light didn’t come on til I clocked 9-10k. Now that I’m doing 2 miles a day I’m already down to 40% after 6k miles.

Honda Fit. Cheap, efficient, reliable, practical. Can’t get that anymore here in the states.

For the longest time Honda hybrids made more power than the Camry hybrid, but they never got as good of MPGs as Toyotas did. Toyota’s hybrid powertrain is superior in terms of efficiency.

AAA offers jump starts, spare tire changes, lock out service, and tow service. So it is still useful for EVs. Run low on range. Just tow it to the closest charger or if you’re within tow radius tow it home. A tow alone is worth the $100 you pay per year.

Hyundai roadside is all contracted out to vendors. Some areas it is AAA. But the difference between contracted third party calls and AAA direct is that the contracted calls only do what is listed on the call. So if you call in saying you have a flat tire only to find out you don’t have a spare, you will have to wait for Hyundai to resubmit for tow service. With AAA they can tow the vehicle on the spot as long as you still have the miles.
