Mine is definitely the trend of doing “catless downpipes” and “resonator deletes” making your exhaust super raspy as a means of gaining more volume rather than doing a proper exhaust setup. Especially since high flow cats these days will flow more hp than most are making.
Raptor lights on Tacomas
Rubber band tires on lifted trucks are a sign of weakness.
I do like a good lowered street truck on rims, however.
Glad to know I’ve pissed off people who know shit about car tuning with my cat delete. Keep crying ya little bitches.
Lifted. Trucks. No contest
I have a massive disdain for cat deletes. Everyone gets punished by smelling something they shouldn’t because the driver of that shitbox wants their car to be loud. Muffler and resonator mods/deletes are honestly far less punishing just because of this.
Some motorcycles are just as annoying. Guy down the street from me literally announces his coming and going in the neighborhood
I’ll admit I got rid of my cats but that’s because they sell for a grand lol
Stanced cars look hideously stupid
Not only hideously cartoonish looking, stance cars must handle like absolute dog doodoo because you are driving on half of the tire or less.
Some guy I know just stanced his MKIV Supra, looks horrible.
I actually really like stance. I don’t see the issue. They can be done really well just like with any controversial modding.
Lifted super duty trucks.
Im so tired of being blinded at night. Makes me want to install a trail spotlight on the back window of my car to bathe them with the intensity of a thousand suns when they tailgate.
Wings/spoilers on fwd street cars.
“Broken axle look”
Excessive low, sometimes coupled with excessive camber.
Black everything out. Yawn
Is an instagram account window sticker a mod?
If it isn’t, I’m gonna say tinted/blacked out tail lights. A car with those will likely have an instagram sticker anyway.
People that put LED headlights in an old car and they just splash sun level brightness all over the road.
Back in the day it was ebay xenons. Still just as annoying today. Xenons and LEDs do not belong in halogen housings.
Really wish enforcement was higher on this. Hell it’s frustrating to look at any retailer selling LED alternatives for older cars with halogen. Hilarious ads that claim that somehow their shit, totally legit LED light “scatters” correctly. Nothing more than a dangerous nuisance at best that simply lights brighter, but they can’t understand it doesn’t illuminate the road properly anyways…
All of the trucks at my work have LEDs in them. I tell them all the time that they suck ass and to put halogens back in my truck because not only does it blind oncoming traffic, they are dim and make it hard to see at night - especially in bad weather. The housings were not made to reflect LEDs.
But of course they won’t because LEDs off amazon cost less than a half decent, name brand halogen bulb.
Straight pipe. Your car sounds like shit you don’t need to make it louder. If your car sounds good then it’s probably fairly loud already and don’t need to make it louder
For Teslas, most of the mods look atrocious. It just makes it look super ricer. But I feel the worst is the aftermarket letters on the back that spell out T E S L A. Like we get it, you have one. Especially in California where everyone and their grandmother seems to have a Tesla now.
Angry jeep grills. The friendly face is the toughest part idiots.
/r/heep
I would like more alternative grill designs if everyone didn’t go for the same Darth Vader maw straight off of Wish. I can count on one hand the number of “bored” grill designs I’ve seen and can’t even search for it with how uncommon it is.
Agreed. Jeeps are made to go slow off road (for the most part). There’s nothing angry about driving slow.
