  • I leave it off.

    The preaching has always been that starting/stopping the engine is what is most stressfull on the whole system/components. While I’d wager that perhaps that is not AS bad as it used to be, I would also bet that it still IS one of the worst things.

    The intent of the feature is not to help YOU the consumer, its to at best, help the environment, and as a side bonus, accelerate the wear of components so they fail sooner after warranty expires.

    As such, the feature can go F itself.

    Although I do agree that there’s no reason to idle an engine while waiting for a dozen minutes at a parking lot, other than perhaps it being below 0 outside…
