I’m in Canada, at least once every few months theres some dude in the Paper, drove his EV for Uber, Uber Eats etc, over the mileage warranty in less than 2-3 years, battery/motor failure, and now has a 5 figure repair bill. They then go to the news to complain about it, how ridiculous and unfair it is.
My last shop got shit on because we failed a RHD RX-7 for not having a Neutral safety switch on the Clutch Pedal on a freshly imported car. It says it right in the book, and does not have any exemptions. I did some googling and there are a handful of kits out there.
As for the Windows, its almost impossible to get Canada legal windows on cars that were never sold here (skyline) but you can buy a sticker to trick shops. There is no way to test the window so if we see the sticker during an inspection, thats good enough.

Its almost like working at a particular brand all you see is problems from that brand. Interesting right?
Working at a private shop, I wouldn’t touch a GM product that wasn’t a Corvette, and even then it would be a hard sell for me on the Vette.
I work as a mechanic, Legit would rather have a Ram with the Hemi over a Chevy/GM Product, and I’m one of the first people to shit on Chrysler Products. I really dislike 2014+ GM Pickups, they’ve just been problematic. The best GM Gen IMO is 2007-2013 once you get rid of the cylinder deactivation “feature”.
Everyone saying no is 100% wrong. You can 100% hit something, NOT cut the tire and get a perfectly square hole like that. Big pot hole, object in the road, etc. the cords will “zipper” and thats how the straight cut forms.
Powernation. Especially their engine building show “Engine Power” with Pat. I mean, I probably wouldn’t do 3/4 of the things they do in the show because tooling would be expensive, but its still interesting to know.
Heard a 2020 GT500 in person. Even when it came out I wanted the GT350 because of the noise. But after hearing the GT500, reading the reviews, and seeing how fast they get with just a few simple Mods it would be one of my first buys if I ever get the money.
They now drive BMWs and other OE Turbo cars and now have Popcorn toons.
I got to drive an older Quatroporte GTS 4.7L V8. 34,000km on it, puking every single fluid. But my god was it absolutely magical to drive. I’ve never driven a Ferrari, but I wouldn’t be surprised if some Ferrari engineers helped out.
a lot of products for older vehicles got discontinued during Covid. Sometimes I struggle to find local stock on brake pads/rotors for normal vehicles older than 2008.
