The engineering is ridiculously complicated. Our techs won’t even own one without a warranty because they know if it fails they can pay themselves to work on it lol

I would honestly say for better or for worse(for worse) Audi doesn’t want you to have the car for 10 years as bad as that sounds. They want to be revolutionary every 5 years and basically force you to replace it lol
Luckily that exactly what I now have 😀 M4 as the fun car and SQ5 as the fun daily
What did you end up with?
Interesting bc I appreciate iDrive but like the way Audi presents tech better. Just preference I guess. And I would only disagree on interior, May just be my two models but I’d say Audi fit and finish is superior.
Couldn’t agree more
All legit points lmfao I can’t disagree, only thing is the $100,000+ difference in price. That’s the only thing that makes me say that. Plus they have the same tech inside.
Only thing I’d say to that is I prefer the Audi SUV as an overall package. X3 handling is better than Q5 but I’d say Q5 is better in all other aspects, sound system, tech, comfort on the road, interior fit and finish etc. all depends on priorities really
Only thing I will counter with is RSQ8, best deal of the century if you compare to Urus.
Love that you know that Audi owns Lamborghini. The RSQ8 is the budget deal of the century when you realize it’s a Urus for half the cost lol. And the ETron GT is a Taycan for half the cost too.
I would honestly say main reason people went Audi was the comparable model for considerably less $, the cross platforming with Porsche has reduced production and R&D costs.
Only bright side of diesel gate is that Audi/VW vastly undershoot their efficiency figures now lol. Only EV brand in the market that will exceed their range numbers. Also mpg in their gas vehicles.
They really turned it around. Being an Audi employee I couldn’t agree more with you about the time period you cited. It almost killed Audi. Luckily they realized where they fell short and changed the game in my opinion.
That’s actually how they intend them to be, the numbers aren’t supposed to line up intentionally. Also Audi is planning a Q9 to match the X7 in size and price. The Q8 is in its own category as far as how Audi views it.
The under appreciated asset of the performance Audis is the sport version of the Quattro drivetrain, puts up to 80% of power to the rear. Quattro gives you so much confidence in putting your foot down, even in the rain, that you can always have fun in it no matter what. I had a ZL1 Camaro and my SQ5 was almost faster around town bc I never worried about pulling out into traffic with my foot hard down.
It’s a great feeling that I’ve never had in another brand.
I won’t disagree lol. But I’d counter with saying that a VW is a budget Audi hahah
I swear it’s because Jeremy Clarkson named that engine as one of his top 3 of all time. Ever since then anything with the 4.2 has gone up in value lol
