      As a fan of all 3 German luxury marques, It’s probably truer today than any time in the past too. The real crime is despite all the platform and parts sharing, it hasn’t done much for reliability, maintenance and the cost of repairs for either brand. They were never going to pass down the cost savings to consumers, so it would have been nice to pass down a better product.

      Don’t disagree but those fancy VWs look a fuckton better than almost every new BMW

      I won’t disagree lol. But I’d counter with saying that a VW is a budget Audi hahah

        True, but usually the marginal cost > marginal quality/utility. That’s the problem with Audi.

        I see this more like it too. VW trying to make things more premium while keeping the cost down so a cheaper car to buy, but Audi straight up goes full premium and says “pay the price for our things or get a VW” lol. (And I have a VW so no offence.)
