  • you made the wrong choice. How much research have you done prior to purchase as based on your story you kind of rushed the whole process and got swept up by shiny words from Enterprise. Nissans, at least in the last 15 years have been hot garbage. poor build quality, ticking time bomb CVT transmissions (which you have, RIP transmission), oil consumption issues at 20k miles+, sub par fuel mileage, and a brand that has fallen so hard not even their GT-R could cushion the fall. And i hope you looked carefully at the warranty from Enterprise and its normally full of asterisk and conditions before they honor it.

also note when buying fleet vehicles from rental companies like Enterprise or Hertz, their cars, although low mileage, have very likely been driven hard because you know, rental.

i would of deny the LoJack outright and if they wouldn’t budge, i would go somewhere else. you are not obligated to purchase a vehicle with features/add-ons (especially not factory add-ons).

  • the minute you start modifying your 2, an econobox remind you, you are going to start causing more harm than good to the car, especially if you are not familiar with how cars respond to mods. the more you modify the running components of any car, you run the exponential increase in risk to making your car more unreliable. if you want more power, get a more powerful car. tik tok instagram influencers are not going to pay for any damages to your car with clever transitions and cuts. there is a lot more involved in modifying cars that pictures and 1min shorts will not cover.

if you want to still modify your ride, stick with the easy basics, lower it a bit (not slammed to the ground), wheels and better tires, and a not obnoxious exhaust.

(this is based on US market which has identical requirements) you are going to need a flash drive (greater than 8gb) and a battery tender/battery jumper to keep the car battery from dying as the update will take min 20mins. You can google where to get the files or otherwise the main mazda website will have it after making an account (which also has the procedures for your car in your market). you are also going to need the hardware for it as well which is new cables and usb hub that needs to be installed after the update which on the Demio/Mazda 2/Toyota iA are a bit of a pain in the butt due to the arm rest being a paint to take apart.
