I bought a 2023 mazda 3 carbon edition sedan in August this year. Today, I tried to open the trunk but it is not opening through key fob or using the the button inside the car. It seems the latch moves a little but not fully.

This is something covered under warranty and should be free of charge, right? Thanks

You’re covered for 3y36k miles from the initial purchase date for the “bumper to bumper limited warranty” and 5y60k miles for the “powertrain limited warranty”.

To answer your question, yes. You’re covered! 😁

covered under warranty. as long as any complaint you have isnt about consumable issue (tires, filters, etc.) 96% mechanical, workmanship (within reason), electrical, and such are covered under warranty. i would know, thats how i lost so much money diag-ing for free (mostly mazda fault and their warranty labor claims, not so much customers fault unless they waste my time).
