My 2019 CX3 came back from a few days at the dealership. My windows auto up and down functions are gone… I now have to hold the window button to get the windows to go up.
Battery was disconnected. A few codes cleared, software updated but the rest was cosmetic.
What the heck did the do?
Thanks
B
I have the same issue and it’s easy to fix. The problem is it keeps happening once or twice a week and becoming annoying to reset. (2023 3 hatch)
It’s just how Mazda rolls - a feature, not a bug
Pull up the window switch till the window is completely up then hold the switch till you hear and feel a click.
I think you have to press and hold it down and continue to hold till it clicks. Then do the same for up. Google or YouTube first though to confirm, it’s been awhile since I had to do mine (after replacing my battery).
Just have to reset it - should be in owner’s manual or ask dealer to show you.
don’t go to the dealership
As mentioned, to recalibrate them. Hold the button til the window is all the way down, then continue holding for a couple seconds, then do the same winding it up. Standard process when disconnecting the battery. Tech just forgot to do it
I have the same problem as OP after a recent battery change. Thanks for the tip, I think it explains it.
This happens when the battery gets disconnected and then reconnected. Wait about 4 drive cycles, and the auto feature comes back.
Can you post an update when you reset it? It’s usually the same procedure across most makes and models. I have to do it every once in a blue moon.
Aside from maybe the software. Why are you going to a dealership for codes and cosmetic work?
And they cleared the codes by disconnecting the battery? Doesn’t sound like they solved the issue
Downgraded from CX5 to a CX3… Went in for a full detail a week later along with a few fixes.
