Wow are you telling me that cars(mostly) are just depreciating assets and cane be bought and sold for profit?
For me the value wasn’t there when we were shopping. When we were looking on 2021/2022 it was like $62K delivered for 220 miles of range. I know range isn’t the only thing that matters but that to me felt really bad
I think it also depends what your other car is. Going from a model 3 to a Civic is a downgrade in most ways across the board
I live in the middle of F150 country and have only had positive experiences. I feel like people just read into people being assholes while driving. They weren’t an asshole to you because your car is electric they’re just assholes
Every make and model no matter how reliable has ones that get a defective part.
They did that because those were all defective 5800X3Ds so that wouldn’t land with the 5700X.
They don’t have enough showrooms and I don’t think they’ve done any sort of pop ups. Like I think their only showroom is in LA. Then they’ve got some planned for AZ, Maryland, Tennessee, and New York but nothing in Chicago or any Texas metro. Plus there’s probably some brand inertia from all of the previous Fisker companies
You can check financial statements for these recent EV startups to get an idea but Lucid lost $631M in Q3 this year. Their cars cost $470M to make, R&D cost $231M, and business costs were another $190M. They only had $138M in revenue. I think Lucid’s costs are wildly out of scale and probably something fishy is happening behind the scenes but that’s a data point
