It’s simple to use and I also have more Apple devices and they all work together in harmony.

The Camry is like the Corolla; you’ll probably need to upgrade before the car just dies.

There’s stories out there with people with 200K+ miles on Corollas and Camrys and not having to replace any major parts other than stuff that normally breaks down (brakes, tires, shocks, struts, etc. in addition to normal maintenance). I’ve only had to replace the alternator on my Corolla and outside of little things I’ve gotten 150K miles out of mine and 13 years of almost trouble-free ownership.

That Camry is going to last you for a while.

I’d love to have a RAV4 Prime but the practicality of me owning one plus the locations I’d be taking it to, I’d have difficulty in being able to take full advantage of the PHEV part.

I’ve fully adopted MagSafe except for the car, which is wired., as I had heard CarPlay doesn’t work with MagSafe (though I don’t have CarPlay in mine).

Rather than use Apple’s OEM MagSafe, I’ve purchased a bunch of these third party chargers. They’re just as good, have a longer cable, and an option for how you connect (USB-A or USB-C). Oh and they’re also easier on the wallet.

I learned the hard way on the first car I owned that if you are in reverse and in motion and then shift to drive - even if you’re going sllloooow, you can damage the transmission. I had always done that, and had to replace a transmission.

These days, I’ll come to a full stop and then shift to drive.

I think its more about the brand name that’s on the package that’s commanding the high price tag.

Before going MagSafe I’ve used several third party brands whose cases were under $20 each, purchased from Amazon, eBay, Five Below, and Walmart and all of them have done the job for me. The only name brand case I’ve ever purchased was the Otterbox I had for my iPhone 12…

The Corolla sedan is still a perfect first car. I can’t see Toyota going away with the Corolla anytime soon.

They’ve since added the Corolla Cross to the list. I’ve heard mixed reactions on that, have started seeing more of them on the road now than six months ago, and in my mind needs one major thing to really make it more competitive - it needs to grow in length and maybe an inch or two in width. I have some room in the back seat of my Corolla, and earlier this year I checked out the Cross; I barely had room in the back seat. The Cross being three inches shorter in length is really noticeable inside; compare it with the 2024 Chevrolet Trax, there is almost enough leg room in the back seat area of the new Trax that it’s almost like sitting in a RAV4.

If you plan to keep it a while (until you realize down the road you’d need something bigger), you cannot go wrong with a Corolla. I’ve had mine since I bought it new, it has 151,000+ miles on it, and aside from a few hiccups, it’s been rock solid for me.
