More gears are usually used in a car with lower engine power to maximize acceleration. After having a 9 speed, it feels like driving a tractor when I get in my 4 speed pickup

TDI’s to be enthusiast type cars in the North American market. Most people have no idea what they are
I’d agree. But I made an appointment to see that specific Passat TDI. The salesman should at least have gone to the service department and gotten the CPO inspection report and familiarize himself with the basics. He didn’t even know anything about the DSG or when it was last serviced. Just zero basic knowledge of the vehicle. I then went to the Chevy dealer to look at a diesel Cruze with are even more a niche vehicle. I have only ever seen 1 besides mine. He had all the basic specs and was able to answer all my questions.
On most diesels, you need to turn the key to run then wait for the glow plugs to warm up. There is a light on the dash that will turn off when they are warm and you can then start the engine/
I had a terrible experience trying to buy a Passat TDI. Salesman knew zero about the car. Didn’t even glow it when it was 15F in the middle of winter.
They are extremely overpriced. Build your own
The only way to let her into your wifi switches is to let her into your wifi
Totally incorrect. My father controls my lights from across the country using the Kasa app. He is just signed in under my name
The neighbor could log in under your kasa account but would then have control over all devices in there. I wouldn’t have a problem with this. I share my account with my father. We randomly turn each others lights on and off. It’s fun
This is why you should do local control only. Zwave and ESPHome are great for that. I am still trying to figure out how to get my MyQ opener to work with an ESPHome relay
I mean… you could. You could also have manual steering, crank start, and put a carb on that LS. But why? Power brakes are stupid simple, just need a vacuum line.
ALH TDI. Cheap to find, cheap to get parts for. Easy to tune. Great aftermarket performance options. Can run a 13 second 1/4 mile and still get 45 MPG. They are rock solid too. I have seen (and done myself) some crazy abuse and they just don’t care.
Just because of the awesome rev limiter and good reliability, the Jeep 4.0
My window frames are power actuated. Can open/close from my phone, Alexa, and automatically based on temperature. It is one of the best home automation things I have done. It is for sure the most practical. In the spring and fall, it totally negates the need for heating and in the summer it cuts down the need for A/C to maybe 5-6 days per year.
