They’re too expensive. Maybe they will have more success with the ID.2All

I feel so ripped off. My car was above 10 grand and it’s a shitty 94 HP, slow, boring car with a 5 speed manual transmission. I live in Europe but I feel so ripped off.
Only because people told me to buy a newer car because repairs on a 90s car will be a nightmare, or so they said.
Did you have any expensive bank breaking repairs? I don’t think so, but feel free to tell me.
I wish they would start selling classic 90s 4-speed torque converter automatic transmissions again. I would buy a car like that in a heartbeat.
They are smooth and they slush the gears together. But at the same time, due to only having 4 gears, the engine has to Rev, which sounds awesome.
I don’t know why they don’t provide a classic 4 speed torque converter option in most cars nowadays.
All you get is horrible CVTs, boring DCTs and laughable automated manuals.
There are still classic torque converters in some cars with 6 or 8 speeds like you mentioned, but they aren’t what they used to be.
I’m sure any actual usable version of the car will end up costing 30.000+
After all, we’re talking about VW
Cool, then actually build it and sell it for 20.000€
Electric cars are good for comfortable driving.
It is sad that we have to resort to fake engine sounds nowadays though.
Instead of just building a proper hot hatch like they made them in the 90s with proper, badass sound (for example Lupo GTI, Honda Civic, etc) we now have to resort to fake engine noise that sounds artifical as hell.
This is the world we live in nowadays. The best days are behind us. Fun cars are slowly but surely dying. Even proper, sporty ICE cars are way too quiet nowadays.
These new cars have no soul. It has all gone down the drain in favor of emission standards. I cannot even explain the dread and sadness I experience on a daily basis when it comes to this. Our world has gone to shit, folks.
I know this will get hate, but it’s the truth. Listen to any 90s hot hatch. They don’t sound like that anymore. It has all gone down the drain.
