People only buy EVs they can afford? Who would have thought?

It is the same as an engine blowing up in an ICE vehicle. It happens, it is expensive, and usually the dealership will just give you a ridiculous quote. But here and there, you have both warranties and alternatives.
I am surprised that they get away with it. Around here, you are in deep trouble if you give tax advice without being qualified, and even more so if the advice is wrong, or you encourage tax fraud.
But dealers in the US are something else. They own both parties.
That does seem encouraging. The MG5 looks like a pretty mature vehicle, and of course it is, having started production in 2017.
It would be interesting to see the MG4 in comparison, which is popular, but it does not look nearly as mature.
I don’t get it. Nissan already have the Ariya, which is nearly exactly the same size as the Qashqai. Is it going to be replaced so soon?
The replacement of the LEAF is of course long overdue. Lack of thermal management, obsolete CHAdeMO connector, and they don’t even make the 62 kWh version anymore. It was a great car, but it has outlived its usefulness.
And an electric juke is a no brainer. Why don’t they have one already? Overall, I don’t think this deserves the word “strategy”.
Exactly. Both the dealer and corporate are clearly lying - he is right to point that out.
A yes, because famously, everybody drives 600 miles without a stop, uphill both ways, with a giant trailer hitched, carrying around half a barn, and every “car” needs to be able to do that.
Tesla is a vertically integrated business, so this is only logical.
But good for Tesla does not mean it is good for customers.
I would argue that it looks much better. Especially in brushed metal, it is a thing of beauty. The best you can say about the ID styling is that it is “distinct”, and even then, the ID.3 looks much better than the ID.4.
The technology is also more impressive.
Overall, I would be happy with either.
I mean, it is a good car, and possibly the best PHEV around, but car of the year? Is it the affordable price, or what made them come to that conclusion?
The Taycan is a great car and always will be. Maybe it does not have the range of a car from 2035, but it has lots of other good features.
Agreed - the one pedal driving in the LEAF is amazing, one of the best systems in the industry. I have no idea why they ditched the technology.
