Toyotas argument is that PHEV with SULEV engines vehicles are actually better for the environment. since 1 EV battery is enough lithium to build many PHEV battery’s it saves lithium, which is difficult, costly and emits a lot of shit ton of emissions because of the industrial mining equipment. I’m inclined to believe Toyota after the absolute banger that the new Prius is.
