High speed highway driving and driving in the city. The car just feels made for the highway driving and the sound off the buildings in the city is really nice.
Bonus points for late night / super early morning drives through the city.

The F87 CS is probably the most BMW BMW you can buy today.
And controversial opinion (if the last one wasn’t), I quite like the G42/87.
I had one as a loaner. I personally like a little more power but tbh, it’s more than enough for most people. I also love the liftback.
The half screen CarPlay is what pissed me off.
If you’re looking to stay in an SUV, definitely recommend the X3 30i or the M40i if you can swing it. Two of my favorite all around vehicles in the lineup
The interface is just so easy to use. Example, when I switched to the 11 from my 8+ I thought I would hate not having a home button and fingerprint scanning.
Now I can’t imagine life with one and without Face ID.
Well on the bright side, I can actually fit comfortably in one of those cars
The price is literally the only gripe I have with the car. You are in quite some territory at $160K.
But unfortunately for us, Porsche knows what they’ve got.
The only time I disable start stop is when it’s super hot / cold to keep the A/C or heat running strong. Otherwise, I use it all the time. Never understood the hate for it.
I’ll be honest, the Dakar and Sterrato are just not my thing. I can appreciate them though.
But that 992 Turbo S… Lord please.
C8 Z06 is a close second, and controversial opinion here, I’d rather have that over the 992 GT3. Also would like the brand new AMG GT.
Now show the inside, not that you need to lol
Definitely look into this. My friend has a 330xi and he has nothing but good things to say about it. And sure, it might not have the top end or movement off the line of an M340, but in most situations, it’s pretty damn close. Highly recommend.
I really like the A 45 S and M140i. Would be the perfect little dailys.
I’ll never do it for a sustained period, but if I’m putting around in comfort I might throw it on for a few seconds, especially at a red light. Completely changes comfort mode tbh.
If I’m in sport plus though, 100% getting engaged. Don’t know why you wouldn’t want it on. Although I sort of think it does it automatically because even in D the shifts are noticeably more aggressive.
I agree. I love both the E39 and G30 equally.
I bet you would be getting worse MPG with the previous 6 speed though
Disagree. Those extra few gears are the difference between garbage and decently less garbage fuel economy. I do a lot of highway driving so the more gears the better.
I’ll allow it
Black door handles are meh though
Love manual. Learned to drive on one and everything.
But the DCTs and even the ZF8 have gotten so fast that it allows you to focus even more on the drive. Hell, you can just throw it into sport and the transmission shifts pretty much exactly when you need it to.
It’s honestly what I would do
