so this is worth like 100 bucks maybe?
It’s Tesla headline grabbing
Tesla doesnt write headlines…in fact they don’t even advertise until like this month…and only testing it out.
What it is, is Tesla incentivizing sales since there is an Osborne effect from highland.
Oh god people still believed that shit? Lol
Why dont you believe it?
Tesla is been reporting their marketing budget in their financial filings. Are you accusing Tesla of fraud?
Have a look at the 10-Q:
I am confused. You are saying they wrote a headline about them changing prices…are you suggesting that is marketing? They aren’t doing a press release on that.
Because it’s musk propaganda that because They didn’t have tv cimmercials it meant they didn’t have advertising. I’ve been Getting Tesla ads directly on reddit for years. But for some reason ThEY dOnT AdVeRTiSe is taken seriously
I would love to see 1 advertisement from tesla before a month ago, on Reddit…1 link…you may think you have because it is everywhere and even fans create them but I have never seen one and have never heard of anyone else seeing one.
In fact people post when they think they have spotted one because it is so rare. Until recently it hasn’t been true.
The haters are in here trying to equate public relations and advertising again. lol
I’ve seen Tesla advertising on Reddit more than a month ago. They aren’t going commercials but 100% advertise
Just started about a month ago yes…musk said they would start small on q3 earning call.
anyone who actually believes that tesla really “disbanded their pr department” is unbelievably gullible
I didn’t say that. We are talking about headlines and ads.
you actually think all content about tesla is 100% organic? how adorable
Didn’t say that also…but they aren’t writing this headline.
Here is the 10-Q if you want to see how much they spend.
hahaha
PR isnt the same as the sales department
Have to do something to battle against Mr. Osborne.
this reminds me of like a decade ago where Ferrari made it so a new Ferrari came with 7 years of free maintenance. Of course they also slightly jacked up the price, but as you can tell from their yearly sales growth this strategy has worked well for selling more and more cars. I wouldn’t be surprised if a similar strategy exists for EVs where you could offer say like X years free charging but jack up the prices and somehow psychologically it feels cheaper to the customer so they end up buying more.
I’d be a lot more influenced to upgrade my RWD Model 3 with 0% financing. *cough*
They’ve also been offering transfers of unlimited Supercharging for legacy holdouts.
Now that is a good deal
My buddy said no thanks. Never buying another Tesla he says.
That’s great for them. However the vast majority would.
Y’all debating the value of super charging while the real story is you can buy an inventory Model 3 RWD for $36,260 in my neck of the woods. (Chicago area)
Yeah, but then you’d have RWD in a Chicago winter.
Rwd does fine in snow
it has been fine for the past 25 years. Some people are stuck in the distant past when it comes to RWD vehicles.
( Mustang is excluded, that thing will actively spin out and try to kill you no matter the weather )
Proper tires matter so much more than the drivetrain for all but the most treacherous weather conditions, and even then AWD/4WD is worthless without the right tires.
Considering the closest and only Supercharger in my city is about 20 minutes distance, nah. I would prefer charging at home or at other nearby DC fastchargers.
I do not like deals like that. Like where I live it is easy to bargain 7-8% at BMW, very hard to get over 10%. Now they offer 20% until end of the year, meaning it will depracate resell value of by these 20%.
Nice. I got the 10k last year and have 5500 left. Got some referral credits so will probably be topping it off.
Keep the miles and give me 0% financing for 60months and I will purchase this week.
