Was at a ‘Friendsgiving’ and a guy was talking about the Tesla Model 2 being an entry-level Tesla that would rival the Toyota Camry pricewise. But I don’t see why Tesla would cut into their Model 3’s sales like that. Plus the model 3 is fairly cheap nowadays with price cuts

They’ve been talking about the Model 2 since 2018. It’s vaporware. They don’t even have a clay model ready yet. Meanwhile, Stellantis, VW, MG, Renault and several others are producing excellent cars in the same segment.

“Meanwhile, Stellantis, VW, MG, Renault and several others are producing excellent cars in the same segment” - yeah! that’s why they can’t sell their veichles and are going back to hybrids in order to survive: because they make “excellent” cars.

They’re all selling well. MG4 is the 9. most sold compact in Europe. With your argument, you’re basically saying that Model S and Model X are crappy cars because nobody buys them anymore.

Sudden battery failures in an Toyota are rare. People in Tesla forums talk about HV battery replacements as if it were something common and benign – like having the xenon bulbs replaced.

Making a high-quality EV is expensive. Making an EV that rusts, has peeling paint, has uneven gaps, can’t handle mud puddles and needs to replace the battery twice in ten years is not expensive. The batteries are given a cheap overhaul after failure, before being sold for 20K.

So the model 2 is now vaporware. You guys have moved from saying the cybertruck, the model Y, the model 3, the model x, and the model s are vaporware?

The Cybertruck will be delivered in a whopping ten cars to customers this November. The Model S and X are hardly selling these days, and Tesla haven’t even announced a successor to the former, even though it’s 11 years old.

If the Model 2 was anything more than a rumor to pump stocks, we would have seen the concept car before Covid-19.

10 will be delivered at the event. Just like every other delivery event Tesla has done. Customer deliveries will begin just like the Model 3 as of the first of December.

Not sure if you’ve noticed, but there’s hundreds of Cybertrucks now. 10 to 15 have been coming out of the factory per day. They’re already past VIN# 1000.

Check your facts before you go looking like you have zero clue what the fuck you’re talking about.
