I really would like to go electric for my wife’s next car and the Model 3 seems perfect. Great lease deals, awesome charging network, decent service location…

However, I really don’t like Musk. I’m sure the other auto maker owners/ heads are deuche bags as well but at least they aren’t vocal about it.

My god this gets so old. 5 years ago people were buying the Tesla because of Musk. What Musk does with his time, that has nothing to do with Tesla, is about 9,856th on the list of things I consider when buying a car. I would put his non-Tesla actions on the same level as the stitching color on the underside of my passenger seat. But if it’s that important to you, just don’t do it. I’d prefer people not buy a Tesla than ride around with a douche sticker explaining
    their feelings.

    and your point is….?

are you looking for us to repudiate/validate your POV or are you just coming here to make that statement?

at the end of the day, you’re virtue signaling to an online audience. either buy it or don’t buy it - you’ll find lots of people here who will support either position. but coming here and making that vague statement without even asking to support/refute is kind of meh.

Get a used one? Money goes to the dealer, not Tesla. You’ll pay for super charging, but that’s kind of going to be a given in a couple years when NACS is standard.

Musk only owns 13% of Tesla, and that was before that Twitter fiasco. There are thousands of employees that work there, not just one individual. I couldn’t care less about him. It’s what the Tesla brand stands for that interests me. If it wasn’t for Tesla, there wouldn’t be a big push to EV like we’re seeing now. Push that is dragged down by big manufacturers doing what they can to slow it down. Do I wish Musk stepped down for CEO? yes, but it won’t change my mind about the company.

Musk is not Tesla. He is one of 20,000 workers. I agree he does grate people pretty often, but some of that publicity is from those with an opposing agenda.

We are on our second Tesla, no regrets.

Holy shit what a dumb way of seeing things. It’s like me saying I don’t want to be Canadian anymore cuz I hate Trudeau (I really do though).

buisness is buisness. Don’t let your emotions for someone get in the way of something you want. I voted for the current president, and now I deeply regret it. Went off based on my emotions, and now I’m gonna vote for trump cause he actually made me more money during his term. Do I like trump? Nope, but I’m sure he will do heck of better job the joe.

I disagree, the head of ford and gm are vocal and even bigger d-bags.

Foreign automakers are either unheard of because we don’t bother with news outside of the us, or anyone for that matter, or they’re polite and keep to themselves completely.

But considering they finished more research showing how many american companies have foundations that fund terrorism, I imagine this is true of foreign companies. Tesla i can almost guarantee doesn’t follow that flow.

Do you know the CEO of all the other products you buy? Or do you just bury your head for those and just because one is in headlines you want to plant your flag in the ground?

I would also recommend you listen to full length musk interviews and not just media snippets to get a full picture.

I imagine if every CEO was on social media as frequently as musk, we would think the same about a lot of them. Most likely they’re all egomaniacs. When I’m making any purchase whether it’s a car or a phone whatever it is. I just get the product that is going to meet my needs. I don’t own a Tesla.

Don’t like Musk, get off Twitter.

But, Tesla company employs 50,000 Americans, and growing, they’re not all right wing nuts.

Tesla is the best price/performance out there.

I would still get the Tesla.

    American Jobs.
