Holy fuck what a fucking masterpiece. Idle to red line in 0.2 seconds. Over 50,000 rpm in a second.

What’s crazy is his ideas aren’t really revolutionary. You can find people on the internet like in this sub begging for what he makes but no one wants to risk building it for a price that is anywhere near affordable

cool so the internet has some ideas

that aint even scratching the surface of having the engineering know-how or connections to even bring it to drawing board

It’s not difficult it just requires a lot of compromise that most car companies don’t want to risk because they are trying to sell cars to the mass market that wants cup holders and sat nav, etc

I live in KC. One day the topic of “if you were Mahomes, what would you drive.”

    I said T50.

Then we debated whether he could get a build slot. He has the money, but is he famous enough to get one?

I know I’ll get downvoted for this but I want to love the T50 so much, but it leaves me a little cold.

The engine is clearly a masterpiece, one of the greatest petrol engines we will ever see.

I like the idea of simple, analogue, manual, real engineering.

But the design just looks so meh! Where the F1 was clean and minimal with form following function leading to a very handsome car, the T50 is very derivative and over styled IMO.

The rear end in particular is a mess. Its fussy and over designed and it looks like it sits so high at the rear because all the detail is at the top.

The front is better but could be mistaken for a Porsche or Alpine, certainly lacks an individual personality.

I don’t think there’s much you can do to make the rear end of a car all that pretty when it’s got a massive fan shoved up its butt. The T.33 looks far better without the fan, although it’s also shaped and styled more like something from the. 1960s than a rehash of the F1.

ok you draw a better rear end then

it’s certainly not pretty, but it wasn’t meant to be…nor was the mac f1

What about McLaren F1 designer… Is he allowed to voice criticism about the disproportional visual mass over rear fenders?

It’s not even the 4 times the power. It could make 200 hp for all I care. It’s the v12 that screams to 11 thousand fucking RPM. It’s perfect
