Are we counting Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Ceausescu, North Korean and Ethiopian ones as Conservatives as well?

Yes. Every named person on your list was famously very socially conservative. None of those people were progressive (the opposite of conservative). In fact, each of them pretty specifically called out progressives in their respective countries as the enemy of the people and targeted progressives to be imprisoned snd murdered. Their behavior rhymes perfectly with that of modern conservatives.

If you can accept the necessity of genocide to fulfill your purpose, then just about anything can be made to make sense. Occam is spinning in his grave.

Killing a child’s family is a really effective way to create the next generation of people who want to destroy you.

Apparently that’s not obvious to the Israelis, since they keep doing it.

They’ve discovered the solution of killing the children as well.

Make no mistake – they’re not worried about people out for revenge because they fully intend to kill every single Palestinian in Gaza, leaving none at all left.

Sacha Baron Cohen got beat up and almost killed by Jewish fundamentalists while doing his Bruno character in Israel.

Pinkwashing propagandists never mention that Israel does not have marriage equality. It’s not some pro-lgbt utopia. The fundies over there do not hesitate to throw stones at even Jewish women for showing skin if you’re in ‘their neighbourhood’.

Likes of Sam Harris, John Cleese, Douglas Murray, Bill Maher and many allegedly left-leaning, even atheist, people lose their minds and cognitive abilities when muslims are mentioned.

Is islam pro marriage equality? No.

Are there gay muslims who get gay-married and live a gay ol muslim life? Yes.

How do they reconcile the contradiction in their faith/scripture and lived experience? The same way gay religious folks do in any other religious community.

Do the bombs of racist zionists differentiate between anti-lgbt, pro-lgbt and fabulously-lgbt muslims? Fk No.

Christianity or Judaism did not bring us marriage equality either. Their “Judeo-Christian sharia” pushed the hero of WWII, Alan Turing, to commit suicide for being gay.

Homophobia in muslim communities should be challenged. But don’t put this burden on the helpless Palestinians enduring a Western funded genocide. Especially when West itself doesn’t treat all queer folks fairly.

There are 2 billion muslims out there. They should ask Trump’s allies like Dr Mehmet Oz, Saudis, Qataris, Khaleejis, Marlaina of Alberta, Scott Moe of Saskatchewan or Donald’s favourite Field Marshall in Pakistan why they don’t treat their LGBTQ+ citizens fairly.

Sam Harris and Bill Maher are fake atheists. They absolutely hate absolutely everything about Islam and Christianity too, even the many good aspects.

But they are so Zionist that they won’t see the flaws in Judaism (which is arguably much worse than both Christianity and Islam).

        Fake. Atheists.

I thought it was more an argument about one-state versus two-state solutions, not rationalizing genocide.

Weren’t those arguments more prevalent earlier on when the full extent of the atrocities Israel was doing and intended to keep doing wasn’t yet so widely known? There was definitely a media bubble that kept the worst of it from hitting people’s feeds.

By one year in a lot of people who were saying “right to self-defense” had shifted gears to “wait no this is fucked up.”

They’re not being raised at all, since Israel is killing both themselves and their parents.

Also, justifying killing children by claiming they were gonna “go bad” anyway is just horrible. Killing children is wrong. There is no cause that can justify it, and any cause that attempts to are horrible causes and their champions are horrible people.

Hamas was a small virtually unknown movement in Palestinian politics until they got a large infusion of cash…from Netanyahu. A man who was about to go to jail when an attack from Hamas permanently postponed his recall. And here he is out of jail and murdering the very people he’s built his career upon teaching Israelis to hate.

The genocide started almost as soon as Israel was created. That’s what settler colonialism is, replacing native inhabitants with your settlers.

I didn’t say shit about who started what. Lemme make sure I understand your point of view though, please correct me if this isn’t correct. You feel it’s OK for Israel to kill children, because they’ve been harmed themselves in the past, right? That’s completely alright with you?

To be clear, those comments are clearly against our instance guidelines and we’ve gone through and removed them. The user was given a temp ban, and a discussion was opened with the rest of the team about making it permanent.

If you have noticed a pattern of some kind, please share it with us. This is the second time in the past few days I’ve seen a reference to this, so I definitely want to know if there’s something we should be doing differently.

We rely on reports to find out about rule breaking content, so please report them to us. If it is urgent, you can message @admin@lemmy.ca

Our current rule around hateful and discriminatory content is as follows:

We do not allow statements that incite or promote hatred against an identifiable group, as defined in the Criminal Code of Canada.

In this section, identifiable group means any section of the public distinguished by colour, race, religion, national or ethnic origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or mental or physical disability.

              https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/c-46/section-318

We extend this definition to include any group that a reasonable person would recognize as a target of hatred, consistent with the intent of the law. Disagreement and sharp criticism of someone’s actions or beliefs are not covered by this rule, as this rule looks for content that targets people based on identity rather than as an individual.

We do not allow content that promotes or endorses hateful ideologies, including racial or religious supremacism, ethnonationalism, genocidal ideology and denialism, and gender-based hate movements. This includes Nazism, neo-Nazism, white nationalism, fascism, Antisemitism, Islamophobia, anti-Black racism, Holocaust denialism, residential school denialism, anti-LGBTQ+ hate, and transphobia. The absence of a specific item from this list does not mean it is permitted.
