Among decided and leaning voters, the BC Conservatives lead the BC NDP by just under 8 points, 44.7% to 37.2% with the Green at 11.2%, One BC at 5.7% and Centre BC Party at 1.1% rounding out the field.
Looks like malpractice.

Oh pish posh Sunshine. That comment is perfectly fine within the context it was written, and isn’t a jab at the party in specific. Noting that they’re 1 of the only 3 parties that are potentially viable to form a government, albeit unlikely, is a nod to them being an actual party if anything – compared to the whatever the fuck that centre/one parties are or w/e.
Noting that they didn’t manage to field candidates in quite a few lower mainland districts is also worth highlighting. I don’t expect the greens to ‘win’, but it’s still worth watching what they do / where the spend resources, given that they have a new untested leader. Are they not fielding candidates in those ridings because they don’t want to split votes / dedicate limited resources to races they don’t think they can win? Who knows. But scrutiny of the greens is warranted. I shouldn’t have to remind you how much of a cluster fuck the federal greens were under Annamie Paul – a mark on their record that cost them many longtime supporters, and is a situation that drove away many moderate-green leaning voters. She and the federal greens are basically the poster child for “DEI is fucking stupid” too, which is just… I mean fuck me, they fucked up equity stuff so badly that they practically handed right-wingers a gift basket.
Regardless, you don’t need to imagine insults to the greens everywhere – I’m sure you have far too many subs to astro turf with your biased news spam to question every “not positive and glowing” comment about the greens on the site.
You’re not fun to be around, every news source seems based to someone and astroturfing is when you claim another nationality when you’re not and make lies.
Good luck being a neoliberal.
No, that’s your personal definition of astroturfing, which doesn’t really align well with its more common usage. Astroturfing is, as per wikipedia, “the deceptive practice of hiding the sponsors of an orchestrated message or organization to make it appear as though it originates from, and is supported by, unsolicited grassroots participants.”
It’s a fairly accurate term, I feel, for someone that pushes an absurd amount of, generally very one sided/biased news articles, to a social media site to make it appear as though that view point / position is the dominant position on the site, and to drown out other voices/perspectives. I’ve noted before that your contribution volumes are a fairly absurd, and obvious, outlier, especially on Canadian communities. You alone have about 14,000 articles posted in your two years on lemmy based on your profile. It’s a funny coincidence that your posts per day is ~20, and Rule 7 on the World News community is:
To be clear, not saying you’re the reason that rule exists – you don’t seem to tend to focus exclusively on one community afterall. But your post volume makes it a nice rule to reference to help explain why I comment on it, when you choose to engage with me now and then.
