I just wish more games would tell you, “Your last save was X seconds ago.”

I love it because it tells me what I need to know and it’s relatively simple to program (i.e., note current time any time you save or load).

I appreciate that so much now as a parent, because when the kids are awake, I need to be able to stop what I’m doing at any moment. I’ve been playing a lot of turn-based games for that reason.

That would be fantastic in Baby Steps. To be able to wipe out the last few minutes of failure.

Last weekend I made zero progress, but I did it much faster than the weekend before.

I just finished a 13 hour long hardcore Iron Man run in ITR2 in one-shot.

Dying means losing all progress anyway

    Don’t fear the reaper.

I mean when’s my last save point? We just made a discovery last week that could help had we known it… 15 years ago? 25 years ago? Hell it’s something we could have planned around. It’s one of those “shit I would like a reload and a railroad” discoveries. Still gonna help, but I could have saved so much time and effort.
