They’re completely nuts
Don’t care, never bought any expensive ones
Adoption will definitely speed up over time. Norway has been a good indicator for this. Once gas stations start disappearing, people stop buying gas cars
They can’t afford them. It’s that simple. Or they live in a flat that doesn’t offer at home charging. I’ve yet to meet a person who hates EVs after actually having tried one.
Has helped me lose weight, plus mainly because of it I’ve now been off my ADHD meds for several months (no joke)
No, but it will decrease as a last-ditch effort by the oil producing nations to mess with EV sales. But that will be temporary. Once EVs have largely replaced ICE cars, the gas station network will go through consolidation and gas will become an expensive luxury. The entire refinery and transport system will be reduced to a minimum and that will lead to massive price hikes.
Roughly the same electricity rates as here in Switzerland. Been going up around 30% every year for 5 years now. Gas has been very high but stable. My prediction is that the oil producing nations will do everything to keep gas prices at current rates in order to delay EV proliferation. Within the next 10 years, EVs will be more expensive to run than gas vehicles, but the availability of the latter will continuously diminish.
I guess it’ll depend on how anal the motor vehicle testing is. In Switzerland it’s 5 year intervals for example, in Germany it’s 2. And they’re known for being extremely “through” in Germany. But at the same time, they sometimes let cars pass that have bumpers duct taped.
The problem with the brakes being that they’re not often used and become rusty. Most of the time, the car will use the electronic brake / the motor. Other cars that offer one pedal driving have the same issue, but because the Model 3 is by far the most sold car in that category, the problem has become statistically significant. At least that’s what an employee of the Swiss MFK (Swiss version of the vehicle inspection) told me just the other day.
No idea what’s going on with the suspension, though.
“pause”, not “stop”? Do they think X will suddenly become anything else than a Nazi hellhole?
Yup, and they know exactly they won’t be able to deliver this in 2024 - it’ll be years before the GSMA gets its act together and implements end to end encryption in the standard, and before that happens, Apple is very unlikely going to deploy this. But I’m sure antitrust agencies around the globe will drink the kool-aid.
Sure, it could also increase the risk of Apple losing some of their monopoly.
It’s the same for teenagers in many countries. That said: by the time they have to buy their own phones, that number is dramatically less.
Of course, they’ll procrastinate for as long as possible. But in the end, there’s no way they’ll win this one
I wish Hyundai sold those at competitive prices here in Europe. But for 70 grand and I can a Volvo.
