Good cars with bad resale value
I leave it on. sure I find it annoying sometimes matter of fact often I find myself playing games to keep it from turning off especially when I’m pulling out of the neighborhood and need to stop and look I just let the car keep rolling so It doesn’t go through an on-off cycle but at lights it’s useful it’s quiet the car doesn’t need to be running.
arrange with the owner to take the car to a shop where you pay for a pre inspection, ideally an independent BMW shop. I’ve done this twice and also had it requested of me several times I never had a problem with it. It might help if you agree on a price subject to inspection. It’s kind of a red flag if they do have a problem with it.
get a pre-purchase inspection and you’ll have a much better ideas of what repairs you can expect
