X5m suspension is trash for daily driving. It’s been tuned too much for the circuit and not enough for comfort… which is crazy for a SUV.
Agree on m50i though. Those are the perfect balance of sporty and comfort.

I actually hate the bucket seats on track. With the helmet on I have to hunch over because of how upright the seat is. This is with the seat reclining brackets in place.
They’re so comfy for normal driving though. The only downside is ingress egress.
Parade lap is always there and usually to warm the car up before driven hard. So maybe 1 or 2 parade lap a day and then 2-3 hours of thrashing.
For BMW M school cars they refuse to cpo the cars before selling. Last time I was at their school told me that they would inspect all of the normal cpo parts and replace any before selling but they don’t check the engine or transmission.
Cadillac is doing something similar. They’re not CPOing it and selling it at local dealers. A PPI isn’t going to expose early engine or transmission wear either. So if you do get one… get the carmax warranty. You can probably assume it’s gonna be in good condition otherwise tho.
Get the GTS. The 6 cyl NA engine is such a good one.
I’m not biased tho.
If the price dropped 10k and they can fix the suspension tuning and software tuning for acceleration and safety suite software this would be a decent car appliance choice in the states.
It seems to have good bones to be a boring ev for people who don’t care about driving but do like a fit and finish better than model y. It’s just released before the final bits were really figured out.
Officially it’s against company policy to do so. Fortunately discounts/American tire will price match Costco so just get a void receipt if they bitch.
You can use PIWIS to code it on/off.
17780 in 2017 is worth 22526 in today’s money. A Toyota Corolla Cross is 23610 in today’s money. A Honda HR-V is 24100 in today’s money. Kia Soul and Hyundai Venue are both 20k flat.
Unfortunately the key problem is inflation. Car prices are still relatively consistent.
