Call me cynical, but I’m just waiting for something to come out about them, too. So many others have done bad shit, so I kinda expect any others to be the same - especially the more successful ones.

May as well open it - I doubt the SM will be doing massive sales at current prices, so even fewer would have sprung for this add-on. Opening it up is at least good PR/marketing.

What a pointless waste that will quickly be forgotten by most (assuming most even care enough to make note to begin with). He’d likely have accomplished much more alive than dead, but in these times I can’t entirely blame him for being depressed enough to just give up on life. What an excruciating way to go, tho.

This is a pattern for this company. The “apology” is marketing bullshit. This company is run by pure assholes - which I’ll admit is hardly unusual, but don’t let them manipulate you with reality distortion techniques. They’ve done it before, they did it here, and they’ll do it again. “Fool me once,” and all that.

Fair enough. I’m not a big city dweller (nor have I ever wanted to be), so I wasn’t thinking of that. I have enough difficulty sleeping with downstairs neighbors that sometimes seem to have little respect for “common decency,” so I can’t imagine living in an environment that densely populated (let alone in a vehicle). I know it’s not a choice for some, and I’m glad I’m not in their shoes.

That just rewards them by giving them most of your money for little in return. Van life for as long as you can stand in order to save up money until something breaks and housing is more reasonably priced again.
