    Forget it. Just find a good rental apartment. That’s basically what we can afford now.

      That just rewards them by giving them most of your money for little in return. Van life for as long as you can stand in order to save up money until something breaks and housing is more reasonably priced again.

        Where do you park long term in the city? Thats a lot of debt when people are already living paycheck to paycheck.

          Fair enough. I’m not a big city dweller (nor have I ever wanted to be), so I wasn’t thinking of that. I have enough difficulty sleeping with downstairs neighbors that sometimes seem to have little respect for “common decency,” so I can’t imagine living in an environment that densely populated (let alone in a vehicle). I know it’s not a choice for some, and I’m glad I’m not in their shoes.
