BMW. The bones are there. They just need to dump their styler and make sure they keep putting buttons in the cars.

I loved the article.
I remember watching an episode of Wheeler Dealers where they took in a 1973 Camaro and Edd “I forgot more about cars than Enzo Ferrari ever knew” China swapped the engine, perhaps the only pure full engine swap on that show, and turned it into an absolutely awesome car.
Edd mentioned multiple times that the entire car was actually incredibly well designed by GM, superior to nearly all the much more famous previous Camaros…except the engine was complete trash.
Edd isn’t one to lavish praise easily. He said it handled well stock. Except the engine stunk.
He swapped in a 414 horse 383 Stroker. Lol.
The real freak is the Porsche GT3RS engine. All-motor 4 liter Flat six making 500 horses.
I don’t know what service intervals are like but the only things comparable imo are the LT6 and GT350 motor.
Turbos are less impressive imo because even in the 90s there were insane power levels from turbo charged engines, really even the 80s, it’s just that the power delivery got more linear with twin scrolls and sequential turbo systems.
There still is lag though. My M177 even lags sometimes. Rarely but it happens. NA motors don’t have lag but are generally peaky below 8 cylinders.
Ford 300. Indestructible. Tunable. Would probably run on literal dogshit.
Yeah with massive incentives. Made up for by the fact that ICE and diesel vehicle supply is all over sticker with huge wait times.
Current design makes Bangle look good.
