  • I know this one. It cost more for R&D and to build them then they were able to sell them for. They were $375,000. A Ferrari had a far better pedigree so for that amount of cash I am going to save 150k and get a 2015 458 Ferrari Especial for $239,000 instead of a haute’ Toyota. Lexus was so perfection driven that it was completely finished in aluminum and they tore it apart and made it out of Carbon Fiber. *source Car and Driver. Jeremy Clarkson drove one all around Japan and really loved the car. It revved so fast that only a digital RPM Guage could keep up with it. The N/A V10 was awesome but the Ferrari 458 (4.5 liter V8 = 458). It made the same horsepower with 2 fewer cylinders. I think it is a beautiful car. It just isn’t as beautiful as cars in its price range. “It costs 6 times more than a Nissan GTR, but isnt 6 times as fast” -Jeremy Clarkson, Top Gear.

  • My car sat at a dealer for 4 months. All kinds of excuses about what was going on. Finally I had it moved to a different dealer. I left a review at www.dealerratings.com and then 20 mins later I get the service manager “calling with an update on my car”??? Wow! That was fast. I never even heard of that web site. It was the ONLY unsolicited time the Dealer ever called me with any kind of update. Beware dealer has been prompt and come to find out the old dealer would ha e NEVER fixed my car. There were literally a hundred 1 star SERVICE reviews at 2.1 stars. Their SALES stars are 4.5. So next time e I buy a $38,000 car I will be sure to look at both. Glad I didnt buy a service contract. The problem? They have an ongoing beef with Geico. My current dealer wanted parts $$ up front. That is what got the ball rolling. What a freakin disaster.

  • No, because it is illegal to sell Chinese owned, made, and sold through Chinese dealers in the United States. This is due to our strict safety and emissions laws and Government restrictions to prevent China from killing our domestic market. It is a national security interest. (Turning our car and truck factories into military vehicle factories saved our bacon in WW2). If China owns the factories here, well you can see the problem that can develop. It is almost an absurd law for computer chips . Even the ECU (Engine Control Unit) in my 2018 Camaro SS are Chinese. While the originals were made here, when the 2010 Camaro was built in March of 2009 … suddenly made mega popular by the Transformers movie, due to global demand in Japan and Australia; making the boards in China was cost effective. The only model sold in China is the 4cyl base model .(LOL). The SS and LT/RS V6 are coveted and either diverted before conversion to right hand drive in Australia… or imported from the USA with huge tarrifs. It is called the"DA Huang Feng" in Mandarin…or Bumblebee!! Due to further sanctions I waited 2 months to get a new ECU as my trunk gasket leaked and all the electronics fried thanks to the improper installation of $25 Chinese LED reflectors in the lower rear diffuser 😠 😔 by my custom installer. I would love to post pics from my gallery but honestly I dunno how. I have both a 2020 LT V6 Riverside Blue 6 speed manual and the 2018 SS 1LE in Hot Red.
