Highly unlikely if you were able to drive it after a boost. If the alternator was undercharging or not charging at all, you’d have a ‘service charge system’ light and or message. And it would have died again shortly after your boost.

Launch 129X is what I use and it’s very capable. Also has a marketplace built in if you need more special functions for a certain brand.
I’d worry more about your timing codes, seems like engine oil changes have been neglected.
P0301 is for a cylinder one misfire. The shaking you feel is due to the imbalance of the crankshaft that this causes. If you’re not versed in diagnosing a misfire, you should take it to shop.
Some parts offer a warranty on the part itself and the labor but often times if you cheaped out and got a cheaper replacement part it might only cover the part and not the labor.
This is probably repairable, however probably not advisable. The strut towers mount to the chassis of the car which is what has failed here due to rust.
There are four buttons on the bottom half of your steering wheel. The top one on the left side should show milage if you flip through it a few times.
