I asked my daughter. $1200 she thinks. Porsche dealer, so no surprise. She may have had other work done however, she doesn’t recall.
I think you’ll have to test drive them. One man’s pain is another’s pleasure when it comes to car suspensions. 😊
My daughter’s doesn’t have PASM but I suppose that’s available. That would be ideal but of course adds complexity to go wrong.
The Macan is often referred to in the press as being Porsche’s sporty SUV. My daughter loves her Macan S and I can attest to it feeling very much like a Porsche. And we regularly fit 4 people in it with ample room in back for my 6’ frame. That said the seat bolsters are a bit short in back so not the best for long hauls, but around town it’s fine.
Beg to differ: the greatest Porsche race cars including the mighty 917 were all mid engine.
Air cooled = Lancia Delta Integrale
H2O = M2
You’ll not want to go back to the Subbie after the Macan. They’re described as a sports car on stilts. Many Porsche sports car owners daily Macan and Cayennes. Then it will be a 911, Boxster and/or Cayman. 😎
I have not. These are all great ideas I will keep in mind when she comes out of hibernation next spring. Thanks!
Thanks. It’s the shot-blasted and polished 18” Carrera II wheels, specific to the 40 Jahre model.
I’ve seen the Macan called a sportscar on stilts. Very capable, more so than an SQ 5. I’ve driven both and I’d agree. So it depends on what you want. Both are quite comfortable but the sporty/comfy bias is different.
Visceral styling; Italians do it way better. Sound: my 996 sounded like a vacuum cleaner until I put Fister cans on it. Reliability: the Japanese brands rule this arena, even in their performance cars I think. (Mazda rotary engines aside.)
Call your state’s attorney general fraud unit and Better Business Bureau.
I’m with you. I chose a 996 40 Jahre both for affordability but also b/c it still had the smaller, more analog feel of the air cooled cars.
