All the “by far the most comfortable car I’ve ever driven” posts definitely prove this.
I went from a 16 year old Accord and rave about my Leaf’s comfort, so I probably shouldn’t be talking…

Only the right choice for the next couple years while he’s in charge. He can make the stock price look good by saving money on R&D and CapEx, make a bunch on bonuses for improving the stock price, and retire while leaving the company in terrible shape for the future.
That’s been my experience with EA. There aren’t a lot of winners in the public DC charging game these days unfortunately.
Don’t know why your getting downvotes. I think people are forgetting that 100% of PHEVs are J1772 and are in the most need of workplace charging. If you include all EVs not just BEVs I’m pretty sure J1772 is the most common. If not, like you said, Teslas come with adapters, other cars don’t.
That’s a good point. Many Tesla drivers want to have the latest and greatest tech so OTA updates probably serves that base well. Personally, I prefer a more boring car where nothing changes and my muscle memory and physical buttons keep things repetitive and easy.
My car just came with blind spot warning lights in the mirrors. They’ve worked flawlessly since 2019, didn’t need to wait for an OTA update. (Although I’m very glad Tesla added a solution for their cars).
I agree. I can’t think of a problem in a car I’ve owned that an OTA would fix. I was worried I’d be missing out on my Leaf vs the Model 3, but in 5 years I’ve never missed having OTAs, things have been working fine.
210 inches long, that’s a big boy!
Or EVGO yesterday when I called and they said their system was down with no schedule to be back online…
I really hope Tesla forces the other companies to get their act together now. I’m stuck with them since I need CHAdeMO.
Can confirm, having charged to 100% in my Leaf yesterday to make it home. It was the middle of the day in an area with other empty chargers, so no one else was impacted.
Good point about other time intensive factors that people tend to overlook. Charging my Leaf to 100% on a 50kW charger takes much less time than charging a 150 or 200kWh to 80%.
I didn’t know they had emergency roadside charging, that is awesome!
E-bike batteries are unbelievable. I’ve seen brands that sell at $2k for 750Wh. That’s 20x the cost here, greedy!
