I live in Alabama and I have not noticed any appreciable changes in how people treat me on the road than when I had a gas car. I’ve even had people who are staunchly anti-EV say they understand why I bought it after I take them for a ride.

The internet is just a giant echo chamber, and you also see isolated events amplified in ways they couldn’t otherwise be.

That’s not always the case, I have WOW fiber on a fiber to the modem install. It’s 500 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up. The tech who installed it said there’s no infrastructure reason why it’s so lopsided, other than what corporate decided. They do offer a gigabit symmetrical plan for more money with no hardware changes.
