Man, I am 41 and had a lowered M2 with M Performance Exhaust until last year :-)

There isn’t a thing like “too old”.

F87 is a great car. Had one for 3 years. Perfect drivers car. And for the E36 you should get a decent amount.

At first I was pissed that my i4 from 12/22 doesn’t get the update to 8.5.

Now I feel different after reading things about 8.5.

I speak for Germany:

I am a customer at my local BMW dealer for several years now, bought a brandnew M2 there. When I asked for rebate for the i4 M50 the sales guy said: “There is absolutely no chance…”

Opened Carwow, entered the config I wanted, got an offer with around 10% off, and showed it to the guy. Suddenly he offered me 8%.

Still ordered at the other dealer 300 miles away becuase it annoyed me as long term customer to not get any offer at all initially.

I have OS8 and the „big screen BS“. Everything I drive an older BMW now it feels like going back to stoneage. But some people like vintage stuff. I don’t.

I only got a i4 M50 (but it has the same drivetrain obiously.

Service menu says: Brake fluid + micro filter after 3 years.

The “funny” guys in Germany call it “Bring Mich Werkstatt”.

What annoyed me the most with the last Android I had was that the „original“ Android has a certain „skin“ on it which is different between manufactures. I had 2 settings menues and couldn’t really figure out why. It’s not that I studied technical IT or work in IT for 20 years. And it was just so not straight forward to use. And even though it may have more feature than iOS - most of them don’t work flawlessly. For me this thing just has to work. And that’s what iPhones do.

Bonus: if I sell the iPhone after 2 years of usage I get back a lot of the price.

All BMWs I had with the locks had the key on board in the trunk?!?

The current gen is already more than enough for 90% of people. In Europe even the infrastructure is already fine in most places. Problem here is for now that the cars are still expensive and it will take time for them to trickle down via company leasing to the used car market. Most people here don’t buy new cars.

I am pretty sure my wife would have called after 2 minutes. Why in the world do you drive 30 MPH for 20 mins in 1st gear? :-D

Oh really? Who would have thought? Still the M2 is built in pretty high numbers compared to other similiar cars.

M2 is a low volume model.

Maybe you should recheck the numbers of M2s BMW is putting out ;-)

Best thing is: They started selling the G87 in the 5 colors - and only some months later they add the additional frozen colors. Which pisses of the enthusiasts ordering at the beginning.
