    I mean, literally? Foolish choices of the past are limiting economic opportunities of the present, meaning they will have less success compared to their peers, other nations. The concept of natural selection doesn’t have to be limited to literal generational gene transfer, but can be applied to other areas. I mean technically you might be better served thinking of it more in terms of game theory or some shit, but a hand-waving application of natural selection isn’t terrible.

        It wasn’t actually my comment, just my interpretation of what they were trying to say. Still, I’m fairly confident that’s what they were getting at.
