I feel like I’m going nuts here, about a year and a half ago I ordered a window regulator for my seat altea from auto doc for 20 euros, there were at least 20 different brand options for me to choose from.

Now my mother in law needs one for here citroen c4 and I can find basically nothing for under 50 euros and even then lots of times it’s used.

I though maybe it’s a specific car thing so I checked for window regulators for my car again and nothing. Some results for different auto parts websites but again, expensive and very limited in options.

I think I have sourced one from a different site for about 40 euros but I had to ask, is there some kind of weird window regulator shortage compared to a couple of years ago?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the euro trash post.

Cheers

I assume that’s the power of VAG. There are probably ton and a half of cars using the same regulator as your Seat. And Citroen is… Citroen. As the saying goes: “The French don’t copy anyone, and nobody copies the French”

Did you read the post? They said they tried looking for parts for their own car and couldn’t find any for that either.

a lot of products for older vehicles got discontinued during Covid. Sometimes I struggle to find local stock on brake pads/rotors for normal vehicles older than 2008.
