What are your thoughts on the Michelin Pilot Sport vs the Pirelli PZero? There’s about $50 difference in the price with the Pirelli being cheaper.
It’s a daily diver and I put about 7 miles round trip on it with a max speed of 35mph.
If you’re driving a cayman 7 miles a day at 35mph just sell it
Nah, go Sport Cup 2s.
I love mine. But go a bit faster :P
But my ego
Michelin all day
sounds like you need a prius
I’m in not a radically different situation on a daily basis from you, in an albeit much older Boxster, and I just put Michelin PS All-Seasons on, and I feel very stuck to the ground in dry and wet so far. I don’t have traction control or really any assists besides the transmission being a Tiptronic, so I wanted the grippiest tires I could snag for all-season. Making up for electronic help with mechanical help. Might have been a bad idea. None of the guys at either of the two tire shops I went to to shop the idea around laughed at me, and I’m happy so far.
Hope you make a good call for you. Enjoy the car!
Running the same tires on my 2022 JCW MINI Clubman. Great AS rubber.
Otherwise I run Michelin PS4S and Alpin PA4 on my 991.2.
Instead of flaming you I’ll give you a proper answer. Neither, you want Continental Extreme Contact Sport DWS. You don’t drive either of the two tires you mentioned hard enough to warrant the cost but you need the most safety out of a tire in all conditions so there you go.
Thank you! I’ll check those out.
Second this opinion, these are fantastic tires
This! I have these on my 911.
If you aren’t tracking it, or driving in sport mode driving aggressive and drifting on back roads, get literally the cheapest option (I recall falken azenis being the cheapest 20" option on tire rack) and they were fine on my 981 before I started driving aggressive
You don’t need performance tyres the way you use your car.
