I honestly thought they quit making these years ago. Shame
Damn I remember going to the Audi dealer with my parents to look at the TT when it came out. I was a huge fan of the baseball glove interior, my parents not so much.
For now…
They still made these?
Sad day for the history of the TT
Not the audi titty…
And the aRSe. (Thx r/ignorhymus )
one of my all-time favorite cars…so sad to see it go
Mk1’s are aging well, especially with baseball glove interior
I had one. In Aviator Gray. A 225 coupe. Mint ones will be worth something real someday. It’s an important car in Audi’s history.
a certified peter scheyer original!
I very nearly bought a 2004 tt s Quattro earlier this year. Wish I did.
I’m still amused by how classy, beautiful, yet simply graceful the Mk1 TT baseball glove-style interiors have aged.
Definitely living up to their name lol
Slate Grey with that orange baseball leather interior, manual, 65k miles… $7k during Covid.
It’s the one Craigslist find that still haunts me to this day. Why didn’t I pull the trigger!!?!
As someone who works with leather, I love those huge prominent stitches on the seat
I’d like it much more if the steering wheel was black. But it has certainly aged well.
I love my Mk3, but I’d absolutely kill for a clean Mk1 VR6
I just want to put its drivetrain in my Beetle, is that too much to ask?
My TT was built in November of 1999, and it is still going strong. I still love the little fella.
Not to be a hater but a FWD car at that price range has always seemed weird to me
It’s pretty hard to tell unless you’re pushing past the limit. Most of them are Haldex AWD, it’s no true Quattro but it’s pretty damned good.
Yeah but Haldex AWD feels like FWD 90% of the time and like quattro the other 10% both of which understears.
It’s allot more fun to drive a car that oversteers a little. Especially on snowy days where you can drift at low speeds
You will always be a supercar in my heart.
Cool cars
Audi TT has the same engine as a base-level Golf and it’s $55k. It’s in a weird position in the market for someone who wants something kind of sporty/fun and kind of luxurious/stylish.
I once had use of a 2020 TTS for a few weeks when my 987 Cayman S was in for repairs after being hit.
Looked and sounded great, but the driving experience was extremely bland. Just didn’t feel special to drive.
Still sad to see another sports car die though.
It’s so over, billions must drive SUVs
