I’ve seen on this sub that getting a gt3 rs (for a fair price) is next to impossible. What about the Turbo S, how much easier is it to get than the gt3 rs?
Well for example, my broke ass COULD walk into a Porsche dealership TODAY and leave with a turbo S if I had the money, however a GT3rs? I’d have to acquire a couple more Porsche cars and wait a little while in order to get the gt3 RS. It’s an exclusive car that requires an allocation and they usually give them to people with “special” Porsche models/specs.
its not going to be easy. but easier than a GT car.
many smaller dealers in the midwest will sell you a car for msrp. but you’ll be waiting 18-24 months. or you can pay the 10-20k adm and get one sooner at a high volume dealer on the coasts.
In the UK there are a colossal amount of turbo S new cars in stock right now. You can get a discount on rrp here.
Yep, huge discounts are on the way IMO
Turbos have historically significantly depreciated, it was only COVID/ free money that created the illusion of holding value
The rule of thumb for a Turbo, historically, was 50% off after 3 years. That ain’t happening anymore but paying above sticker is no bueno.
And then way way up after 20 or so years. Don’t know we’ll see that same enthusiasm for the newer water cooled models though.
Porsche has never done “huge discounts” on new vehicles. Historically dealers do up to 5% at best on new vehicles barring exceptional circumstances (high mileage demo/loaner).
Well, go on Used Porsche UK and you will already see 10-20%+ discounts on brand new and super low mileage
In US it may be different
I was offered 30k off a 125k 911 before covid. Idk if that’s good or bad, lol, it caught me off guard.
Sorry but your frame of reference is far too short. Porsche deeply discounted the 964 because it was priced super high at the time and sales plummeted. In fact the RS America was cheaper than the Carrera, and it had to be discounted also.
It’s going to be very hard to get both if you are a poor.
Turbo S is easy to get. GT3 RS? Good luck.
