I have a flat tire and no wheel lock key for my M240i.
The Firestone near me cannot help unless they cut it.
The dealer is over an hour away. I didn’t think to check for this when I bought it.
The dealership hasn’t been super helpful.
I do not have run flats.

There pretty easy to get off without a key… you’ll ruin them and have to replace them. But I would do it and order a new set for $60 rather then drive an hour each way
The dealer can’t help you since they didn’t make them. Your option is to find the master key (if it’s stored in the car) or cut them.
The dealer can help. They were the ones who have the master key. After a few phone calls, they agreed to lending it to me.
Lend? That sounds wrong. Either the car comes with the master (since its already in the purchase price) or have them put an OEM lug. Glad to hear you solved the lug.

There are 37 in the uk; I had this exact issue on my m5, which left the dealer without the tyre/towing kit. Great PDI there bmw uk…
Fucker who owned my car put aftermarket lockers on and kept the key. Dealership couldnt help at all :(
lol I went to the dealer, they matched my lock, and said I could get a key in a week so I ordered one on Amazon on the way out
Yeah, those should go straight in the trash.
Not exact the same situation, but when I swapped the RF’s for PS4S’ I had no idea that the dealer had installed wheel keys on the car so when Discount Tire pulled it in to swap tires, they quickly came out and asked where the key was.
I was like, fuck, I didn’t know that it had those installed and had no where the key may be knowing I didn’t see it in the glove box when I took possession.
Fortunately it - along with the 4 original wheel bolts - was under the truck floor in the storage cubby.
Was a whew moment for sure. Sorry for your issue OP, people should not install key locks IMO
Reminds me of my first car when i went in to change summer tires and he asked me where is the key for the bolts. i was scared and kinda surprised. I was like “Why are you asking me for you’re the guy that should know and have em”. He explained he needed bmw one that i should have in the car usually in the tire kit. Yeah i learned a lot about wheels then.

When the tire center LOST the wheel lock key for ours, BMW ordered us one and had it waiting for us next day. While that’s not real convenient, it was a good solution. And the tire center paid for it, of course.
Yeah I have gotten a replacement from my dealer basically the next day by sending a photo. Sounds like OPs dealer is a bit of an lazy ass.
Go to the dealer and they’ll match it and order you one for like $20, this exact scenario happens everyday at most dealerships
Anyone concerned about missing the wheel lock key, take a pic of the wheel lock that clearly shows the # of splines.
The parts counter will be able to sell you a matching wheel lock key with this info.
Well you have to go to the master set. The master set isn’t going to come to you
It’s probably in the bag that your air compressor is. It has a smallll extra pocket that’s a bit hard to see.
I had the same issue. Until I googled and saw that.
Humour me…in your boot…on one of the sides where there is normally a kit of some kind, towing eye that sort of thing. Under that should be another compartment. Look in there. Believe it or not, my dad’s M3 locking key was missing when he took it to be detailed. Main dealer had no clue. BMW recovery was on there way. Some research on forums a 3 series owner suggested looking as above. It was there…
Second this for any vehicle. It’s a pain without the key.
It takes 20 extra seconds per wheel with a socket and hammer. 99% of wheel locks are defeated with almost NO effort.
Checked inside the inner panel of the boot lid?
All BMWs I had with the locks had the key on board in the trunk?!?
