    Yup, and ironically a very fascist view of nationality from those who like to think they are progressive. It’s even funnier that most of them are European and their countries histories are also full of atrocities.

      Exactly, exactly, and exactly.

      Fuck countries, let alone utilizing that construct to justify hating large numbers of people. I despise what Russia has been doing and that there is a lot of support for it there. And yet if I catch myself saying “the Russians” I have to check myself because I usually mean the Russian government. I damn sure will never use it to say “I hate all their citizens”. And I would hate it if that’s how someone took it.
