Fuck countries, let alone utilizing that construct to justify hating large numbers of people. I despise what Russia has been doing and that there is a lot of support for it there. And yet if I catch myself saying “the Russians” I have to check myself because I usually mean the Russian government. I damn sure will never use it to say “I hate all their citizens”. And I would hate it if that’s how someone took it.
