I have a theory that, as the “unfunny number” sandwiched between two other funny numbers, 68 will eventually become funny simply by association. Or through memes like this which point this out.
Perhaps in a decade, 65 will also be funny

…and we all fell down and were at sixes and sevens (meaning to be confused, dating back to Chaucer in 1374).
I learned about it from Austin Powers in Goldmember in the early aughts, but yeah I’m glad someone else pointing out there’s like, an odd historical rhyme with the particular numbers coming back.
68 became the unfunny number despite not doing anything, this is sad
