The joke is on the kids, when they realise what kind of world they were brought into.
I never liked kids before, but I have no regrets. I’ve got three now. It’s hard, but I’m enjoying every day.
These are not mutually exclusive.

Yup. Love my little toddler. They are also a horribly willful little chaos agent that I often find myself wanting to duct tape to a wall. But I was that kind of mess when I was young too.
Immensely frustrating, miss my free time etc. But also the most rewarding adventure I’ve ever been on.
I’ve heard a few different parents say the first two years are miserable, after that it’s a lot more fun.
