One way to handle Trumpers like this is to flip the argument to something that they care about.

“If everyone in a state wants something, go ahead and have it.”

Response: "So what you’re saying is that, if everyone in California wants ICE to stop their raids, the federal government should leave them alone?

She’s right. Your reasoning must include actual logic for logic to affect your reasoning.

They’re operating on emotions and beliefs. This is why logic doesn’t work on fascism or any other cult 99% of the time. They don’t care about logic.

Hm. I dunno. That’s such a weird statement lol

I mean, the entire interview is for viewers and not interviewees, right? A “gotcha” moment in a debate between people at a lunch table still makes the gotted (lol) person start to panic and stumble over their words and start vomiting nonsense much like we saw here. If you have two opposing views and one person gets the upper hand, both people know it (even if the other person absolutely refuses to admit it, which they almost never do)

Holy shit she reflex doubled down in the beginning with the “sure” but unknowingly dug herself a YUGE grave. Tried to crawl out of it so hard she lost her fake nails in the process.

These “gotcha moments don’t work on me”. Don’t work? In the sense that, you actually noticed how what you said was fucked up? If so, good on you for that at least.

And irrelevant argument. An extremely relevant argument isn’t irrelevant just because it proves you’re an idiot. 😆

    Bro this clip was priceless.

    “This is what liberals do”

Asking questions she can’t answer without revealing she hasn’t actually thought her position through is apparently off limits lol

Lol and the funny thing is this is what Republicans do. Make a bold, wild claim, then when facts and reason are injected just insult the person who said it and refuse to answer.

The generation that grew up on brainless quasi-political podcasts are now making their own brainless quasi-political podcasts and I hate it. It’s like multiplicity except we’ve started very near the end where things were already pretty deformed before we started making copies.

Does she take onto account that a black family may purchase her from a disgruntled husband. I could only imagine that a black farmer could use a hand with those pesky chores and that housework ain’t going to do itself.

So, is it different if the slavery is below subsistence wage slavery in the global South, Africa, or Asia? In the rare earth mines, on Chiquita banana farms? What about white Democrats in red states?
