Over time, in a high-compression engine (over about 10:1), using a lower octane fuel than it’s engineered for will result in knocking (detonation), formation of hot-spots, and eventual preignition.
In an air-cooled or in a non-interference engine (lower compression, both, usually under 10:1) there is absolutely no benefit to running higher octane fuel.
The higher the octane number, the more tolerant of higher pressures before ignition.
Wheel studs should be installed by simply tightening the lug nut. Pounding on them can damage wheel bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends, control arms, shackles… pretty much anything related to steering geometry.
In no specific order, you could:
Park it outside, away from structures.
Dump pressure when parking — can’t leak if there’s no pressure in the line.
Order and install or have new fittings made.
Mitigation of risk and repair are the way.
