Obviously the first thing you do is take out the dip stick to check if there is transmission fluid in the valve stem. If no transmission fluid crossover then good, but you are not out of yet. Next turn the carburetor 90 degrees so you tell if there is smegma in the VTEC. Usually there is a little, but it should not look frosted. Should be pretty straight forward.
